Des membres dirigeants du Comité d’action Awami (AAC) dans la région du Gilgit-Baltistan, administrée par le Pakistan, ont été arrêtés. Ils sont détenus depuis plus d’un mois dans des conditions épouvantables et sur la base d’accusations fallacieuses.

Leur crime ? Avoir défendu les travailleurs et s’être opposés au pillage de leur pays !

L’Internationale Communiste Révolutionnaire mène une campagne mondiale pour obtenir la libération de ces camarades. Des camarades et sympathisants de l’ICR ont manifesté devant les ambassades du Pakistan et ont recueilli des signatures de personnalités politiques proéminentes.

Manifestation devant l’ambassade à Berne

À Berne, jeudi à midi, une vingtaine de membres du Parti Communiste Révolutionnaire (PCR) ont manifesté devant l’ambassade du Pakistan. Nous avons exigé bruyamment la libération immédiate de nos camarades ainsi que de tous les membres arrêtés de l’AAC.

Ils sont torturés et maltraités en prison. C’est notamment le cas de l’avocat Ehsan Ali, âgé de plus de 60 ans. Il a été transféré dans un hôpital, puis ramené en prison après avoir refusé de signer une déclaration dans laquelle il devait exprimer sa loyauté envers le Pakistan et condamner les autres détenus.

L’État pakistanais porte l’entière responsabilité de la situation critique de nos camarades. C’est ce que nous avons voulu signifier à l’ambassadeur à Berne, en l’exhortant à agir immédiatement. Nous avons mené notre action dans le calme et étions ouverts au dialogue.

Nos revendications

Mais puisque l’ambassadeur est resté caché derrière les rideaux pendant toute l’action, nous l’avons interpellé avec des slogans comme « Shame on you » (« Honte à vous ») et nous lui avons remis plus de 20 lettres de protestation signées par nous.

Ce n’est qu’à l’arrivée de la police, alors que la plupart d’entre nous étaient déjà partis, qu’il est sorti pour dire : « Je comprends l’importance de votre démarche. »

Mais nous ne nous contenterons pas de formules diplomatiques – nous exigeons des actes concrets :

  • La libération immédiate d’Ehsan Ali et de tous les membres de l’AAC-GB.
  • L’abandon des poursuites engagées contre eux.
  • La suppression immédiate du nom d’Ehsan Ali de « l’annexe quatre ».
  • Le rétablissement sans délai de sa liberté de circulation.
  • La levée de toutes les restrictions portant sur ses activités politiques.
  • L’acceptation immédiate de toutes les revendications de l’AAC-GB.

Soutien de parlementaires et de syndicalistes

Ces revendications ne sont pas seulement soutenues par des camarades et des sympathisants de l’ICR. De nombreux parlementaires et syndicalistes participent également à cette campagne internationale de solidarité.

En Suisse, ils sont déjà XX (voir la liste ci-dessous). Nous les avons contactés et leur avons présenté la campagne de solidarité. Ils soutiennent les revendications ci-dessus. Certains d’entre eux nous ont même assuré qu’ils enverraient une lettre de protestation à l’ambassadeur par courriel.

Comme les camarades emprisonnés, ils font partie du mouvement ouvrier international. En tant que parlementaires et responsables syndicaux, leur voix a du poids et ils ont une responsabilité.

Grâce à leur soutien, ils contribuent de manière importante à la lutte pour la libération de nos camarades et, par là, à la lutte pour une vie digne à Gilgit-Baltistan.

Nous ne nous lâcherons pas tant que tous nos camarades injustement emprisonnés ne seront pas en sécurité parmi nous ! Mais pour que cette campagne réussisse, nous avons besoin d’un maximum de solidarité et de pression.
